Joondalup Cup & Joondalup Bowl

The Joondalup Cup and Joondalup Bowl were played last weekend in gloriously sunny weather that signified the start of Spring after what has been a very wet and cold winter this year.

Two rounds of Stroke play is not everyone’s favourite and it was great to see almost a full field take to the course and test themselves.

Hole in One #6

Achieving a first hole in one is quite an event but getting 6 is even better!

Yesterday, Gary Cooper achieved that feat with another hole in one on Dune 7. 

Gary’s controlled wedge shot landed near the top of the ridge then spun down into the hole located at the front of the green.

Congratulations Gary and may there be many more to come.

Ian McPherson (whom we understand has already had 13 holes in one) was busy on his phone and missed seeing Gary’s great shot.

Connor’s Tartan Tour Win

Congratulation to Connor McKinney with his winning of the Musselburg Masters played last weekend on the Tartan Pro Tour.

This tour is the Scottish development tour for male and female golfers.

Connor played the three rounds in 65, 66 and 67 for a total of 198, 12 under par and winning by one shot.

A fine achievement and we wish him all the best for the future.
