The Gift That Keeps on Giving!
Billy Hicks, who celebrated his 80th birthday on 14 February 2025, achieved an incredible milestone just days later. On 22 February 2025, at Barnbougle’s legendary 13th hole, Billy secured a stunning Hole-In-One!
Congratulations, Billy, and happiest 80th birthday wishes!

Saturday 15th of March saw the running of the 2025 Club Foursomes major event where teams of 2 endure the difficulty of playing the alternate shot Stroke competition over 27 holes. Our very generous sponsors, Paul Laurance and Dave Hopkins from Metal West Recycling stepped up to the mark again and our thanks go to them.
An early start saw all 76 teams off and running by 9:30 with 6 to 7 hours of testing golf ahead. All managed to survive the day and hopefully remained friends at the end given that this competition format has to be one of, if not the, hardest format to play.
This year the prize pool was allocated with the trophy winners the best Gross score as usual, but the remainder pooled into nett prizes to provide a more equitable outcome for those participating.
The women’s trophy was won by Charlotte Hicks and Tenae Bouwer on a score of 118 with the men’s trophy won by Shane O’Connell and Tim Hart on an even par score of 108.
Congratulations one and all.

The Tour de Force Ladies Classic was held on Tuesday 11th of March under sunny skies and a crisp Autumn morning.
The event brought together 90 Ladies from 19 different clubs for an exciting day of golf followed by a sumptuous buffet lunch.
This year’s winners were Alice You and Eua-a-Sohn from Royal Perth.
A huge thank you to Carol Shaw of Tour de Force travel for her sponsorship and to all who made the day such a success.

Saturday the 8th of March was the annual Opening Day event which coincided with the PM competition monthly medal and the gold medal playoff.
The event was kindly sponsored by Hamish Williams and AHG. The antique silver platter trophy was provided by Rob Haines a few years ago and looked sensational.
The course setup was extremely difficult with numerous controversial pin positions but despite this Andre Van Der Merwe managed to blitz the field with a tremendous Nett 66 score. Congratulations Andre!
